Application timeline

October 2024-January 2025:

Choose your college and apply to The University of Cambridge before the UCAS deadline, 15 October. Applicants will be notified of the outcome of their university application in January. Offer holders are then eligible to apply for the University’s Choral Award Scheme.

February 2025:

Apply to Cambridge University’s Choral Award Scheme by the deadline: 15 February. You will be asked to list your preferred college choirs in order.

March 2025:

Attend the Gonville & Caius Choral Workshop & Informal Vocal Assessment Day on the 15 March, where you can sing with our college choir and attend an informal audition with the Director of Music, Matthew Martin.

Following the results of the online Choral Awards application, candidates will be invited to audition at the University’s Choral Trials. In 2025 these will take place 23-26 March in Cambridge. All applicants will be notified of the outcome shortly after the trials.
